club car speed is irregular why
Ok so I have a club car carry all utility cart. I had the motor rebuilt and new batteries installed with new wires on batteries. So it usually only goes11-12mph but I don't know if it has a sweet spot or its just totally random but if you keep hitting the pedal once in a while its like you hit turbo and it takes off and hits 17-18 mph and if you even let off the peddle even the slightest it drops down to11mph again. ????would this be a defect in the motor, or is the motor supposed to be that fast and another part is defective and restricting it from its full potential most of the time

Re: club car speed is irregular why
I'm with Scottyb... Can you provide us with the vehicle serial number? I'm thinking that if it's a newer cart, you may be having an intermittent problem with the motor speed sensor.

Unfortunately when my father painted it he painted over the serial number but if I remember it was early 2000 maybe 2002

Re: club car speed is irregular why
If it's an early MCOR cart David can hook you up with the latest model for smoother performance.

Re: club car speed is irregular why
Thanks Scottyb,
But even if it's not an MCOR equipped cart, there are conversion kits available. |

Re: club car speed is irregular why
Is there a pie shaped black box on the driver's side frame rail between the batteries under the seat?

Re: club car speed is irregular why
It's a series car with what appears to be a 3.75HP ADC high speed motor. It could have a V-Glide or an MCOR, all depends on the year. 93YellowClubCar is on the right track about the pie shaped box. Let us know what you find.
