Battery Question

Ok, I have read the battery stickiest but am confused about a couple of things. My cart is a 48vt cart. When charged it has about 50 some volts. But they say to never run your pack down lower than 50% of charge, so does that mean I should run my pack down to around 25vts? Isn't this too low? Also, if it is a 48vt cart how do they get that number?

Look up the state of charge charts. 50% charge is probably about 48V. It's not a linear curve at all.

Yep 48.4 is 50 % SOC, 50.9 is 100 % SOC

Don't go below 44 volts under load or don't go below 48 volts no load and you will have good service life.

I'm more inclined to say 42 volts is the under load threshold....

No, at 48.41 volts your battery pack is at 50% charge state and you should charge it. At 50.93 you are at full/100% charge. Here you go, this is your battery bible ! Memorize your 50% number and obey it. On a new battery pack there is a break in period. Thats another thread. Bottom line i've been told is if your not moving it should be plugged in and charging. Running them below 50% as a habit will kill your battery life and durability ! Hope this answers your question.

So basically you are only 2v of your battery pack? That is just weird to me...... but like I said, I am just learning this stuff after toasting one brand new set of batteries.
