Default Lestronic II problems

I have a Lestronic II battery charger. When I plug it into the 36V cart the relay picks up, transformer hums, ammeter shows 0 output but will continue to run until I unplug it. I tested the diode, capacitor, fuse, transformer & relay with assistance from a Lester tech. All tested within specs. All battery and charger connections on the cart are clean & tight. When I asked about the circuit board I was told as long as there is current to diode, capacitor, transformer etc then the board if fine. Cart batteries show 35.4 V - enough to register with the charger. Still all components test fine, but has no output according to build in ammeter & handheld voltage meter & will not turn off. HELP!

Did you find the main fuse? Did you check the continuity of the fuse? Some chargers the fuse is built into the case by where the amp meter is located but on others it's located inside towards the back

But did you test the meter itself? Try testing the cord. Years of plugging and unplugging may have broken a wire.

An amp meter is hard to test...you can test continuity but not actual operation because it takes current flow to work...it sounds like it's not getting the signal to charge from cart or it's not the right charger for that cart...

I am dealing with the same problem on my Lestronic. Did you ever get it fixed?
