Default Seat back question

My cart is a 2002 (verified by VIN). But I have been noticing a difference between my seat back and others. I have two separate seat backs instead of one. From what I have gathered, the 2000.5 and up are supposed to have one long seat back, prior to that was two individual ones. Was this a factory "option" or does mine have the incorrect seat back on it?

Someone must have swapped it for some reason - Should have the one piece. Does it have the newer style roof?

I seem to recall Tahoe saying that Villager models continued to use separate seat backs beyond 2000.5. See HERE

I have a vague idea what the difference is. The supports are black (and I believe Steel, not aluminum) on mine. The VIN decodes as a 2002 DS IQ if that makes sense.

Sounds like he changed them out for some reason.
