Thumbs up cost to upgrade 86 club car

I have a 86 club car with good batteries. I picked it up from my aunt who wanted to keep it in the family. What would i need to do to be able to put a rear seat on it, a lift kit, and get a little more speed/power. I paid 700 bucks for it and it is in great shape.

Start here:

Need to replace the original drive system with a solid state system before lifting or adding more load to cart.

This is a series drive cart. This cart has an older resistor coil drive system. Conversion to modern electronic speed control will allow use of aftermarket motors and bigger tires. Increase the operating voltage to 48v will produce 33% more speed and torque.

A 1986 resistor coil cart would need a solid state conversion to run 48v reliably.
Email me and we can recommend a kit that fits your needs.

Listen to the man, i'll be getting my electronics from him as soon as i get the money. I'm also going to 48v from 36v and with Scottys package prices you won't get it cheaper anywhere else. I know ,i've done my homework. Talk to you at the end of the month Scotty ,thanks for all your advice man

I have a similar question - got an 86 club car at no cost, but with no batteries and unsure on the motor. As this is only my 2nd post I don't think I have the ability to PM yet but would like to get some ideas on cost that I could be getting into to get this thing 1. Running and 2. customize and make it my own.
Any help is appreciated and can certainly start a new thread if necessary.
