Default Decide on which new motor???? Reviews. THANKS

I want to upgrade my cart motor (in signature). I want to achieve 20-22 mph on flat ground with at least some percent torque increase. Ive looked at many websites trying to compare modes, speeds, torque percent increases that i cant keep up with them. I want to keep cost under $500 if possible. If anyone has a cart similar to mine with 500 Amp controller and a D & D motor with results im wanting your advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Also: 2 AWG battery cables will be ordered soon.

I'm also going down that road. I just installed my Curtis 1268 controller along with my 2 gauge wire upgrade (through out). I was on the edge with D&D or PQ. Both Vic at D&D and Rick at PQ were very helpful. Unfortunately PQ only offers one style of motor for me and that would be the "Bandit" which I would have to send in my OE motor and they would rebuild it. D&D is a whole new motor. Although my motor is alive and kicking; I think I'm still gonna go the D&D route and sell my working G19 motor and controller to get a fraction of my money back. D&D is little more expensive but I think it will meet more to my demands. V/R Kosmo

Lots of options, our sponsors all carry a verity of them, I have a PQ executioner, seems to work well, lots of speed and torque, I went with in between performance and get about 25/27mph. Of course you have a series motor so that won't work for your application without converting but that said I think they are all good options, find a sponsor you like and talk to them direct to get more information. You want to make sure what you get works with what you have and if you need help you can call them for support.

That's very encouraging to hear, 4wilsons as I'm new to the game and have been going back & forth between PQ & D&D. I've talked to PQ a couple times now and am a little skeptical (as is another vendor I talked to) about the purported speed gains.

I just purchased a 2011 CC Precedent Excel and am hoping to get in the 26-27MPH range for absolute top end speed. (rear facing seat, no lift, & looking at 10"-12" wheels with lower profile tires) Was gonna start with the PQ Bandit and see where that gets me.

You can easily get that from the motor rebuild but you may want more torque, that is always a trade off. Depending on your needs, it may work out nicely as many others have here.

I got a plumb quick bandit. Great improvement and that's all I did for performance. Seriously impacted speed and go.
