I once used an alternative to TROJANS about 11 years ago. Been married now about 10.5 years. Yep, should have bought TROJAN. Wait.......you are talking about batteries.

Gentelman... as before, I do not dispute the quality of Trojan...like I said I have a set of six in an EZ-GO. Around here they are used in underground mining equipment... I can buy 6 volt Trojans cheap! $20 for 1 year old batts. Most of the time the miners arent looking and hook up thier batteries up wrong and melt the ternimals off of em. The local cart shop picks them up for nothing and puts a new terminal on and they work fine... Thats one fine battery. I just wish I could hear from one of you guys that have recenly tried, I dont know, lets say a Deka GC8V (thats what NAPA sells now)... and you say... "Man... that battery really stinks, it wouldnt hold a charge, got 5 miles less per charge, 2 blew up and put my eyes out, they are 14.3% less efficent than the equiv. Trojan..." I've had the Fillet Mignon, now I need to know if the top sirlon tastes good and fills me up cause there aint many dollars in the pocket.

Sure Mike, your right... I'll shut up now. Just one question before I go... How many sets of Deka's have you bought/used/tested? No need to answer... I'm sure I know that one. Many thanks to all for the input.

its,

Get whatever batteries you want to fit your budget... Do what you have to do...

I bought 6 8V "Werker" batteries from Batteries Plus 4 years ago,
for $20.00 cheaper (each) then Trojans
I've maintained them perfectly, and have had no problems with them... YET!

BUT... had I known "then" what I know "now"...
I would have spent the extra $$ on Trojans.

I just wish that I knew about BGW, and other cart sites, BEFORE I started to work on my 98 48V!

I would have asked, and taken their advise!

Good luck in whatever you decide!
