Default Throttle Issue 85 CC DS W/Alltrax NPX

Hi All - !!

I recently acquired a 1985 CC DS which had some upgrades completed by the previous owner - the cart runs great with smooth acceleration great for neighborhood or campground travel - problem is I do not have full throttle for other adventures like hill climbing.

The issue is pedal travel to the throttle box - it lacks 1" of travel at the box to reach wide open throttle. The original multi switch box was replaced with a curtis PB-6 which works flawlessly when not attached to the throttle rod on the cart, just requires more travel from the throttle rod than available to reach WOT.

Any ideas or suggestion how i can either modify the PB-6 box or replace it with any style so i can get this buggy out on some trails?

Thank you,
Todd

This will require some engineering and fabrication on your part to multiply the throttle pedal travel. You need to just about double the cart throttle movement by use of a bell crank.

Todd, sent you a PM. Will add that on my alltrax controller, it has an auto-cal function that accepts maximum detected travel as WOT. Don't know if that is an option for your situation but thought I'd throw it out there.

This post is a yr old and the NPX control does not have throttle calculation.
