98 DS rear axle slipping
I am working on 98 DS 48 volt. The rear acts like it is slipping in forward and reverse. sometimes it will move ok at a slow speed but if you mash the go pedal it stutters and doesn't move. Any idea what has failed? Trying to get an idea where to start instead of ripping it all apart. any exploded diagrams available as well?
Thanks in advanced for your help. |

Re: 98 DS rear axle slipping
Thanks for the quick replies. I put it on charge. And i will check voltages tomorrow. The batteries are elcheapos and dated 2010 so most likely on their way out.

Batteries for sure.
As a side note: Local shop here took a cart in where the owner told them that the rearend was bad- yes they changed the rearend, and also told him they changed the batteries because he needed them- lets just say, he had a fit. |

Kindof the same deal here. He told me something in the rear let loose. I was about to pull the drums and axles to check into it. But glad ya'll clued me into the batteries. I will be testing them tomorrow morning.
