Default New Villager 6 Cart

I picked up a stock 2000 Villager 6 today. Runs but I will be putting in new Trojans. I am having trouble finding anything aftermarket for it. It has the 4 wheel brakes, so I have looked for Villager specific lifts and found a couple. I am mainly looking for the rocker covers in stainless or diamond plate. I assume all other DS bolt ons will work, i.e. dash, lights, fender flares. I want to go 6" lift with 23" tires/14" wheels. I also assume I am going to need to upgrade controller if not motor also. I would like to be in the 18-20mph range. Anyone have any cool villager tips, tricks, or pics feel free to share. I searched on here but a lot of old threads have the pics missing. Thanks!

Hey there, can we have some pics of the cart? I have a transporter, same thing as your 6 almost. It is still a work in progress, but here is what I have done:

Called plum quik and got them to build a big motor. They estimated 20 mph speed with my set up.
500 amp FSIP controller just got it rebuilt, when I get back home in a few weeks from working overseas I will install it and let you know what kind of speeds I am getting.
Got the heavy duty reversing contactor as well as HD solenoid and a lot of good advice and support from Scottyb at cartsunlimited

Lift kit-definitely go with a jakes lift that allows you to retain your front brakes. You will for sure want to keep those, too much weight with 6 people coming down a hill to safely stop in all situations with just the back brakes. Jakes makes a long travel and a spindle lift, search their site for mech brakes. I went with the 6" spindle and it was easy to install.

I still have a lot of cosmetic work to do, as you can see someone before I had it ran in to it with a forklift, but I am thinking once I put my controller on I will be done with the mechanical side of things.

I'll update with speed and post some more pictures as I progress.

Here it is. I definitely want to keep front brakes. So the Jakes spindle may be the best option. I have two of their lifts now with no complaints. What kind of range/distance are you getting with a 500a controller? Anyone seen where you can get the extended length nerf bars for these? I am pretty excited as I have looked for a limo for 2 years now and these seem like a really solid platform. I haven't been impressed with the yamaha or ezgo limos I have looked at.

I'm still in the project stage, in July when I get back I will be putting the rebuilt controller on and changing out the wires and then getting new batteries. So it will be a while before I know my range.

I did change out the potentiometer, couldn't get it to work right so I did the conversion to MCOR.

Thats a good looking cart, looks like it was taken care of so thats good.
