What to do with the 36v motor

Hi guys, I'm in the process of doing the 36-48v swap. I've read on here that the 36v motor will wake up once it's all done, but my question is this;

While I have the cart torn down, would it make enough difference to go ahead and send the 36v motor to someplace like PlumQuick and let them rewind it, or whatever it is they would do? PQ charges about $250 for the service, and I'm ok with that only if it will net a noticeable difference.

Anyone done this?

By the way, I just wanted to give a thumbs up to David at Revolution Carts. He set me up with a sweet deal on my lift and wheels. I got a 6" All Sports Super Sport lift and 12" ITP wheels with 23" ITP Alltrails. The lift is built like it's military grade. Very nice. Thanks David!!

Thanks man. I would recommend calling Plum Quick and talking to Robby about your plans. He will be able to tell you what to expect if he re works your motor. Send me some pictures of your cart. I wanna see it

Depending upon the age and condition of the motor it may benefit from new brushes and bearing
