Ok..I have more silly questions...but I'm trying to do the right things with our new baby.
I just got ScottyB's wire set in - they are 1000% higher quality than the cables that are currently installed.

Cleaning the terminals - I understand using the baking soda / water solution to clean and neutralize everything. Then you dry. What about making the terminals shine? I've ready lots of opinions about using sandpaper versus NOT using sand paper because of the potential leftover grit. What about a small file? Just for fun I grabbed the car battery terminal cleaner and hit one of the posts up - it shined up pretty well.

Dielectric grease - This seems to be a question of religious faith. Should it go on the posts as soon as I clean them and BEFORE I put the cables on them? It seems counter-intuitive to put anything between the cable ends and the posts - you want metal to metal contact right? But it seems to be a BIG deal in certain forums. I plan on spraying everything down with the anti-corrosion battery spray once it's all hooked up.

Anti-seize or Dielectric on the stainless nuts? Will the dielectric act as an anti-seize?

What about the connections to the motor and controller? Should I take any special steps when putting those wires on?

On the motor cables use two wrenches. Don't let the post turn. Clean post with brush and put cables on. Then put anti corrosion treatment on.
