Weird Charging problem
I pick up my 2001 CC REGEN 48v tomorrow. Now I haven't actually had a chance to charge the batteries myself yet, but the previous owner says the batteries hold a charge real well and last a long time, I do know they are exide.
However, he said that he has noticed that when he runs the cart down to half charge the charger works just fine and charges the batts with out issue, but he says he's noticed that whenever the batts are drained lower than half way or mostly drained that the charger trips the breaker three or four times when charging then they get about half way charger and it completes with out issue.
So does this sound like a charger or a battery issue? TIA

Re: Weird Charging problem
sounds like maybe a weak circuit breaker on the charger.. when the batteries are low they require more amperage across the breaker... I would replace it just as a starting point, then go from there
