It doesn't look good. And besides that the meter is in a place where its inconvenient to view while driving. JMHO

OK ... back to the really question ..where does the SPST switch go to cut off the display??

Back during the day they used to hide an on/off switch under the dash to disable the taillights/brake lights. Maybe you could do something like that.

OK ...final-final ...will, put a 125ACV 10 amp SPST in the 48 volt negative line.
