Default Club Car DS question

Found a fella selling an upgraded Club Car DS. Says it has upgraded controller, heavy duty motor, and wiring harness. He doesn't know the size of the controller nor the motor. How can I walk him through finding out those two things?? He lives 4 hours away.

The nameplate on motor and controller model number. Both should be easily read.

Ok so these are something he can see by lifting up seat without having to remove any parts?

Says the Club car is a 2007 model with 700 amp controller and 12hp motor, with upgraded heavy duty wiring and solenoid. My only concern and his only complaint of the cart is that its really hairy on the pedal, says its jumpy. Isn't the smoothest going real slow. Is this an easy thing to fix by computer or is this due to the torque of the new motor and controller??

He should easily see both with minor contortion or lifting cart. Sounds like the throttle input could be off. Maybe a good techie will chime in. Best thing is if all is right with what he says then A few bucks into fine tuning is expected.

Sounds like it has a GE/FSIP controller. They have adjustment screws to adjust the different controller settings. Could be as simple as a turn of the adjuster.
