Not sure of the gauge... whatever OEM was doing at the time... I'm thinking they are originals... I will buy into some number 2 or better welding cable and make replacements. Basically, I'd be best off to replace all big cables downstream from my power supply bank. That would bring all battery wire-outs to new condition.

You may be better off going with 4 ga cables. That way it will be a lot better running the neg through the obc.

I am with mrgolf...you shouldn't need more than 4 gauge for the application you are running. I haven't had to use anything bigger on any of my custom builds.
