I just looked at the original motor I removed from my CC when I replaced it with an upgraded one. I could not find a "set screw" on the coupling.

I am not saying your's does not have one, just that there is not one on mine.

The coupling is part of the shaft as far as I'm concerned. It's one solid piece. They do not separate. I'll open it up and look at it for half an hour labor. My labor rate is $65 an hour. If you wish to do that, we will make it happen. You pay shipping.

NO !NO! i didn't say i disbelieved you David. and know you will help however you can. This last guy that looked at it in the next town . i think may have wanted me to just leave him alone, i really don't know . No! shipping would eat me up, doing that----and that wouldn't solve this problem.Hard to find someone around here to do anything. So i do believe that theres no :"set screw."ITS a one piece shaft? bob I've built hotrods all this time and have never had the problems with none of them. that this cc is giving me.I looked up a diagram that i was given and don't see anything, in that- that i can check, bob

Sorry to imply bsa, my BS Comment was towards your guy blowing smoke. We are good.

And not to speak for David but I don't think he thinks you don't believe him. I've known him a few years and he is not that kind of guy. He was just being nice and not saying the other guy is full of ****.
