Might be time for some new batteries and a 48 to 12 volt reducer. It will help balance the draw for your lights across all batteries instead of just two of them.

How old are the batteries and what brand are they? And when talking superfast, are we talking like 10 minutes or 2 hours? Also what lights are you running?

Batteries around 10 to 12 months old walmart brand . Daytime batteries will last around 2/12 to 3 hours. Nighttime around 1/2 hour

Have you maintained them? Pop the caps and make sure the lead plates are covered with electrolyte.

How many watts of power are your lights drawing. Two 50 watt light bulbs are nothing compared to the 2500 watts and higher that the motor uses. You ought to be able to leave you headlights on for 3 days before your batteries would run down to 50%. I'm thinking you got some other problem or you left some information out.

Are the lights running off just one battery or two?. Try connecting them to different batteries if they are. You may have one or two weak batteries. If they are the ones with the lights there is your problem, happens all the time.
