Default Help needed

Hello---first timer
I need help to correctly wire a new 48 volt White Rodgers 586-120111 in a 1996 Club Car.
I am rebuilding this car and am switching from a 48v Albright SW80-1275.
This is not a true 1996 CC but has been upgraded over the years to have an MCOR and a GE 270A Plug SX controller RP49-H4D272C2 remanufactured by FSIP.
Per the attached picture:
1. Is the diode connected correctly, it only has small ring terminals so it can only go on the smaller posts? If connected ok, then will the back post be the positive and the front post be the negative? I'm guessing I need to assign positive & negative status to these small posts?
2. I plan to connect to the large RH post the yellow wire off the B+ controller terminal, is that correct?
3. I plan to connect to the large LH post the red wire off the positive battery post, is that correct?
4. I know what was connected to the smaller posts on the Albright but those connections were right and left…should I treat the forward and back on the White Rodgers as right and left?
Thanks for any advice or information.
Jim

The only thing that matters is that is that you connect the positive wire to the band side of the diode. The band is on the back small terminal in your picture.
