The fact that nothing was hot, cells were not low and everything seems normal leads me to not want to overact to the situation. Perhaps you had a dirty connection and the OBC thought that it was time to charge due to voltage drop?

I like that theory. That's it! I did clean all terminal connections, 2 were KINDA dirty, not 2 bad.

You know I am referring to the E Z Go and not the Precedent.

So am I! After a 20 mile run, it takes 4.5 hrs to charge(Charger has a timer). After sitting fully charged for 7 days, it takes less than 30 min.to top off. I really
don't think I have a bad battery(Yet). As stated, they are 8 yrs. old. Really can't compare to the Club car, it's 2 different charging systems. My EZ go either has a speed motor or gears, it does an honest 16 to 19 mph(GPS hand held) on flat and slightly hilly ground.Out runs the Precedent!

Oh I misunderstood you. I thought said that it takes 30 min to recharge your E Z Go after a 20 mile ride.
