club car will not go
Checked solenoid. Two big posts checked ok. Two small terminals had no voltage. Unplugged power going to the thottle and checked volts on wires and had 48 volts. Plugged back in and cart still will not move forward or backward. Have a D & D progamable controller. Any suggestions?

Re: club car will not go
Welcome to BGW.
Let's start with you cart serial number, above the go pedal. How did you test the big post? How did you check the small post? Where did you unplug wires for throttle ? |

Re: club car will not go
We unhooked wires from big posts. Checked across posts with OM meter. Had zero reading.
Unplugged two small wires and put Volt meter on 50 amps. Turned key on, put in forward, pressed trottle and had no voltage.Hooked wires back up to all posts and unplugged the two wires plugged at the throttle pedal. Put meter on 50 amps. Checked current across the two wires and had 48 volts. Plugged wires back in turned key on, put in forward, pushed down trottle. Still will not go. |

Ok what year cart and what drive system. Serial number will give that information.
We can then look at wiring diagrams and see where the problem is. |

Re: club car will not go
The reading across was the big post on the solenoid should show open when not activated and the resistor is off. If you connect jumper from main neg to one side of the small post and and main pos to the other it should click and the two big post should show closed or connected.
This will tell if the solenoid is good. Be sure the pos jumper go's to the small post with the ring around the diode. |
