Default 12v voltage reading new trojan t-1275

Just got 4 new trojan t-1275 12v batteries.
When i checked them they were at 12.5v on the voltage
Can I charge them individually before I put them on my 48v charger or should I just let my 48v charger equalize them out.
This is my first set & I just want to do it correctly.
Thanks

Put them in cart and let cart charger charge them. Drive the cart a few minutes and hook charger back up and let it charge again. Follow battery break in sticky.

Yup.... 12.5 is roughly 80 % SOC ... Put them in the cart and fully charge them to which you then use the cart for short intervals using no more than 20 to 25 % (50.0 VDC) before recharging. As well as keeping on charger whenever not being rode. This type of use encourages and promotes healthy batteries.
