Default Cub Car serial no.

Looking at a nice DS. Serial no. RE02..... Anyone know what RE is. I have an old serial no. chart which says RE= reserve golf cart. What does that mean?

Cart looks like a villager to me but I'm not a CC expert.

It's a rebuilt car. I believe the "Reserve" program was out before the Gold Standard and Silver Standard that they're using now. Take some pics and I'll help you identify it.

I guess the aluminum supports and split seat backs indicate cart was pre 2000.5 before re-manufacture. Rocker switch for F/R so sepex. 3 prong charge port.

Thanks for your help!

The Villagers always used the aluminum front roof support. Pull the dash, the original serial number sticker should be there

Nick is correct. All of the 4 passenger cars, when factory equipped, used one-piece seat backs and old style canopy framework. The new style seat bottom with the plastic handrails is a good indication that it's newer than a 2000. Is there a programmer port under the F&R switch?

Yes there is. So this confirms IQ---correct?

I have not driven this cart yet, but someone I know has. He says cart is very strong and GPS'd at 22 mph with two big guys on it. He suspects an upgraded motor which is fairly common around here. So, it is a villager--right? I favor this kind of cart because it was probably never in fleet service.

Looks like a good cart for a grand daughter who could drive it to school this fall.
Fast enough to keep up with traffic (other carts) but not so fast as to become a target for teenage boys to challenge in a race. And reliable I think.

With a remanufactured serial number its hard to say if it's a "Villager" or a DS with a four passenger kit. Either way, it's a nice cart with the IQ system
