Smile 1984 Club Car 36v electric

My cart goes forward just fine but reverse is very week and will not handle any incline, has a new forward/reverse switch and new batteries any help would greatly appreciated.

the older carts were wired for 18v reverse

move the reverse cable from 4th battery positive post to 1st battery positive post for 36v (full power )

Yeah , be careful , if kids drive it ...I think I moved mine back to 24 as 36 was a little scary...
