Default Options for F/R Switch

I've got a 2005 Precedent, and unfortunately when my children ride up front their little legs dangle right over the F/R switch. They often hit the switch by mistake mid-cruise and throw it into neutral or reverse.

Is there a guard I can put over this switch, or move it altogether to the dash? Anyone else have this issue and if so, how did you fix it? I'm worried one of these times it'll get switched at full speed and damage the motor or something.

I have a Ezgo RXV switch on my 91 club car ds. The key switch and FNR switch is the same. It has a Off Reverse Neutral & Forward. I have also ordered a 36v relay to energize when on to send 12v to the radio. one switch does multiple things like a vehicle.

I love the upside idea!
Will it work on a 2009 Precedent? I've had my little one hit the switch a couple of times. Thanks!

The upside down idea is a good one. I've been trying to figure out how to relocate the factory f-n-r switch to the steering column. Switch and wiring aren't a problem, but not sure what to house it in.
