Default 1992 Club Car upgrade to 48v solid state

I have a 1992 Club Car 36 volt resistor cart i purchased used last week. I'm going to be upgrading to solid state via scotty's kit in a few weeks. I'm also wanting to also upgrade from 36v to 48v. The cart came with just over a month old Interstate (6) 6v batteries. I'm thinking of adding 2 more 6 volt batteries instead of switching all to 8 volt due to cost. Iím currently looking to mount the 2 additional batteries in the space in front of the motor where the resistors currently sit. Iíve been searching all last night and this morning for pictures of the battery compartment after using scotty conversion kit without luck (i.e. location of solenoid, controller, etc). Iím wanting to get the brackets for the new batteries mounted so, when I get the kit, i can go ahead and install everything to get rid of the resistors. After that, i just wire 2 more batteries in series and be finished. Does anyone have any pictures of the battery compartment after being upgraded to solid state? Is it even worth adding 2 more 6 volt batteries or should I just wait and change to (6) 8 volt batteries when these are ready to replace?

Thanks

Would I be able to add 1 12volt battery in my series of 6 volt batteries to make my 48 volts?

No. All the batteries in a series pack are drawn upon equally. 100 amps drawn from a 200a 6v is not the same as 100a drawn from a 150a 12v battery. The 12v will die quickly

I figured that wouldn't work. I'm still trying to finalize my upgrade plans

Order placed for a c74 conversion kit. Now I am going to be busy building and soldering my 2 ga cables while I'm waiting for delivery
