Default Wire voltmeter straight up?

I just got in the mail my cheepie (10 bucks) voltmeter , was gona wire it to key switch but would like to just wire it straight up so voltage reading is there all the time , surly that little thing (way , Way SMALLER than it looked in the pic) wouldn't be any load on the batteries would it ?

After I spent a few minutes looking for the key hole in the dark I wished I wired mine up to be on all the time.

I have 3 wired straight on all the time. Doesn't seem to be much of a draw at all

I cut out the dash and mounted it and now I'm thinking I might put a little toggle switch right beside it so I can turn it off if I want , I guess I can just use a 12v automotive on that cant I ? I know its 36 volt but if I put it on the ground side I cant see a problem... (famous last words before fire)

An automotive s/w will work. You're only dealing with milliamps there.

That is a $3.95 one I have wired to be on all the time, handy while charging and just in general having it on,...

I did mine with a little toggle switch, So far it works great. a good thing for me because my neighbor said at night it lights up my entire carport at night.
I was even thinking of finding a switch that has multi settings so I could check each battery voltage by itself.
I know it sounds like I have to much time on my hands. Right.

It would be information about the Battery pack, mine has separate power and input so could be added to the list
