06 ds club car will not charge
ok guys. im new to golf carts as in ive had it one week.when i got the cart last week it had no batteries in it, i bought 4 new trojan 1275's and new cables just to be safe. I put the new batteries in and everything is fine. This is where the problem starts, When i plug in the charger nothing happens, no clicking, no needle movement at all. i did do the jumper trick from the gray wire /yellow fuse holder to #4 battery negative and the charger did click and start humming. when i do this the pack voltage does go to about 53 but the batteries still dont seem to be charging. i also did the OBC reset a couple times and that also made the charger click, needle move slightly then go back to 0 and kick back off shortly after. im at a loss here. I have read so many threads my eyes are crossed HELP PLEASE!!

Re: 06 ds club car will not charge
Welcome to BGW.
just relax help is on the way. Start by making sure the red wire from the charge port is connected to the main battery pack pos. post where the red cable that goes to the solenoid is hooked. This often gets lost down under the batteries and not reconnected when changing batteries. |

If you can, post a photo of your battery area, maybe we can see something.

Re: 06 ds club car will not charge
Is the negative cable from the battery going through the hole in the OBC?

Re: 06 ds club car will not charge
i did find a couple issues this afternoon but not sure yet if it is actually causing the problem. The terminal on the red wire that goes from the charge receptable to the positive battery post has become very thin and not even a full circle anymore and the other end (the male end) the wire going into the male pin is all green, i will address this tomorrow and see if anything changes.

That is likely your problem.

Re: 06 ds club car will not charge
If the problem still exists after cleaning the wiring you need to put an Onboard computer on it.
