Club Car Precedent Pulsating Speed
I have a 2005 Club Car Presedent with brand new Trojan batteries. I just found that my speed sensor was bad after putting in the speed magnet as it was only going 8 MPH. After swapping out the speed sensor the cart ran as it should..... for about 10 minutes before it started to pulsate on and off which yielded a speed of about 13 MPH from the 19 is was going before. What is a common issue for pulsating on and off? As i mentioned I have brand new batteries that have only been driven on for about 15 minutes. I have not yet charged them but the battery light is not on when it is pulsating on and off. I also noticed when I put it away that I had to give it more throttle to make it move from a dead stop (almost full throttle). You could hear the motor trying to go after applying the accel, but it would not move until l about full throttle. When this happened the battery light did come on. I turned the key off than on and the light went away but repeated the same thing once I tried again. Any help on this would be great. Thanks.

Re: Club Car Precedent Pulsating Speed
Fully charge your batteries before going any further.... Batteries should be kept fully charged as much as practical; meaning if its parked plug it in....

Re: Club Car Precedent Pulsating Speed
Let me guess. You bought a cheap sensor from Ebay or Amazon? It was around $40 to $50 and has a combination of three wires on it. Red, Blue, and Black? Right?

You would be correct. Are they notorious for being junk? I usually don't buy Chinese crap and go for the OEM but for some reason I did for this as I didn't find a good OEM on my search.

Re: Club Car Precedent Pulsating Speed
Just ordered the OEM sensor from a local CC dealer in hopes this fixes the issue.

Yes, they're notorious for being junk. I hope you didn't over pay at the dealer. There are several people who make a living by selling quality parts on this forum, myself included. We would have loved to have your business. Regardless, I hope it fixes your issue.

So did the new speed controller fix the issue?
