I am not sure those batteries will hold up to being charged so heavy with a golf cart charger.

I would interested in seeing how the 12 volt batteries are wired up in a cart that is supposed to have 6-8 volt batteries?

Yes I would want to suspect this too as according to the OP the cart ran great and became sluggish after discovering battery issues. I'd go over the battery to battery wiring as well as the pack to cart wiring closely. Could be hooked up incorrectly and/or may have a cable with high internal resistance that is passing voltage but not amperage.

When I contacted the dealer - he said it ran fine with the those batteries so it is not a battery issue. He said he would be glad to replace with Trojans. He feels that it is something else - he mentioned the accelerator switch or could be another of other things. I feel that my only choice is to take it back and let them diagnose the issue.

Well - one of the batteries had slid in the rack and was up against the accelerator and blocking it from being able to be moved all the way for full speed. Embarrassing,

Glad you found the problem. Often when people post a picture of there battery area we can see things like that in pictures.
