36vt DS first solenoid clicks but doesent move,Norm???
I just replaced all the solenoids, new battery's ,new cables etc, When mashing the peddle i hear the first solenoid click but it doesent move,,,,,, I mash it some more the second click it takes off,I hear the other solenoids clicking and it speeds up on them,Reverse is good also.
I do have to mash the peddle a good bit before it clicks and the last solenoid clicks on right at the peddle stop. Is it normal for the car to slow down some going up hill with new everything? except motor The voltage reads right at 36 still going up hill.I bought a digital meter of ebay it works pretty good, and looks good hey guys thanks for any help in this 1988 clubcar 36volts Rob |

The first solenoid is the master solenoid and does not represent a speed. It provides power to the 4 speed solenoids. Everything is working as it should.

Just wondering, since it's expensive to convert a solenoid cart to a controller cart. What would adding high speed gears do to a factory solenoid cart?
Or what would be the cheapest way to kick it up a couple mph? |

Re: 36vt DS first solenoid clicks but doesent move,Norm???
It would make the motor have to work harder and therefore create more heat in the entire electrical system. This is something that this system simply isn't designed for. Anything more than stock on these systems is simply too much for it. It was designed to play golf, slowly.
