Default Battery delima -48 volt light weight batteries

Looking for an option here. I have a bunch of carts, and am looking for a way to temporarily install 48 volts worth of batteries in a cart. So i wonder is there any light weight batteries i can buy , so i don't have to keep lifting these heavy golf carts batteries?

I want to throw some batteries in a cart, make sure everything works, then test drive and remove the batteries and install in another cart etc.

I;m too old and broken down to keep lifting theses heavy batteries.

I rent carts to snowbirds for 3 months during the winter, so i don't buy and install new batteries until the last minute. During the summer i have 17 carts of my own, that i keep moving, and jockying around?? I read a few years ago, that Andy had some light weight batteries he would take with him to check out a cart with??

Any help, suggestions??

Thanks for any input and for your time?

Just for the sake of short term testing I would think that you would do ok with just about any four 12 volt batteries your old broken down self can handle will do for this purpose. I wouldn't recommend them for long duration use in a cart at all but Marine Deep Cycles come to mind...

I think I would look into making a small version of an engine lift.

That's my winter project. Going to make a mini cherry-picker for batts and motor, and strong enough (1000 lbs) to pick up one end of the cart for suspension work. Gotta make it easier on the old bod.

Put a set of batteries on a four wheel cart you can pull behind the golf cart and run a pair of leads to the cart,

Roll the batteries up, connect the cables and do the checkout, that way you could test charging also,...

What i am trying to accomplish here, is this :

I get calls that someone wants to sell me their golf cart, and the batteries are dead.. This is in a developement that i have to drive my van to, not close to my house.

So i want to be able to have 48 volt worth of light weight batteries that i can just set on the floor board/bagwell etc, and jumper the cart to test drive it.

I guess at my garage , the idea of putting them on a dolly, would help to test most things, except i won't be able to test drive the cart unless i fully remove the old batteries, and install the good batteries.

I'm mostly looking to get out of lifting 4 or 6 heavy cart batteries so much.

I was thinking the cart could be towed by the cart , this is for checking out at your shop was my thought.

I have bought some APC (uninterruptable Power supplies) for servers that used 48 volts and had 4 12 volt batteries and the quick connects . The AH is going to be what you will have to have for diving, just for testing forward reverse a few feet the small wheel chair batteries would might do it, 50 AH

You need batteries that can put out over 100 amps.
