Default Questions about First Cart

Hello all,
I am brand new to this forum and new to carts. My wife just purchased me a early 2000s model club car ds 48 volt. I love it so far I can get about 16 mph out of it by gps. I was wondering what is the first upgrades i need to do with it im sure this has already been covered before but im not real good at navigating the forum yet so please bare with me. Thanks and i look forward to doing some quality reading and learning.

Well post some pics of that bad boy and we'll help you spend some $$$...if stock , wheels and tires (lift kit may be required depending on how you go here) will make the biggest wow imo...

You got it....sweet ride . wheels and tires you already got covered....paint or body wrap ( I'm not a fan of that factory beige ) , seat covers to match and maybe new floor mat ? If that one dosent clean up ...whats it look like in the battery box area ? how old/what shape batteries in ?

Im not sure what size lift is on there but those are 22x11x8 on stock 8" wheels i just stuck some cheap wheel covers on there for now. That floor matt actually cleans up very well it was just dusty. Im guessing it must have to be a 4 inch lift because if i turn to sharp my 22 inch tires will rub what do you reccomend

I built a custom sound system for it in the roof i have 2 4 way 6x9s and 2 tweeters and a nice radio in the roof with that custom box i built. I covered the box with truck bed liner spray. It turned out good sounds great. i used a 48volt to 12 volt voltage reducer

Speed sounds about right I think , some carts had a "regen" system that I don't know much about ....these threads will help you identify....

If you want more speed , it could get pricy....
