I have a new solenoid, new diode, and new resistor. Can the resistor be put on any way or is there a left and right

Re: Question about solenoid
The resistor is NOT directional across the large posts.
The diode IS directional with the banded end attaching to the pos. side of the small posts. . |

Re: Question about solenoid
I am guessing you have a SERIES cart? if so......all you would need to do is swap two of the cables on the back of the F&R switch, OR you can swap the other end of those two cables on the S1 & S2 posts on the motor, either way.....it does the same thing. I had to do that very thing.
