Default Question about solenoid

I have a new solenoid, new diode, and new resistor. Can the resistor be put on any way or is there a left and right

Correct for the diode (small posts), no polarity for resistors (big posts).

Also, any additional smaller gauge wires on the big posts are on the battery pack side of the solenoid.

EITHER WAY......its the Diode that has to be put on one way.

The resistor is NOT directional across the large posts.
The diode IS directional with the banded end attaching to the pos. side of the small posts.

I am guessing you have a SERIES cart? if so......all you would need to do is swap two of the cables on the back of the F&R switch, OR you can swap the other end of those two cables on the S1 & S2 posts on the motor, either way.....it does the same thing. I had to do that very thing.

Swap the black and white wires on the 3rd micro switch behind the F&R switch. You're utilizing your half speed reverse resistor in forward but not in reverse.
