Installed lift on my club cart and now it won't move
Just finished an 8" lift on my 2006 48V Club Car DS and went to take it for a test drive and have no power. Forward just has a click while reverse has the buzz and a click but no movement. The guy I bought it from said he didn't know how old the batteries were but he had had it two years without any problems. I didn't remove any electrical connections or change anything other than the lift kit. The only thing I can think is that a wire got pulled loose while I was fighting with the rearend while installing the lift block and springs. The top heavy axle spun a couple of times and "tensed" up the motor wires. I quickly looked under it tonight but didn't see any obvious signs of something being disconnected. It sat unplugged for a week while I was waiting on new hubs to come in so I am thinking maybe the batteries just need a charge overnight?? Where do I start troubleshooting? Some threads with similar issues say it could be the controller, but I'm no mechanic ( or electrician) so I don't know what the controller even does. What voltage should I be getting coming out of the series of batteries? Each battery? What should I check first? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I should add that prior to the lift install the cart ran great with plenty of power and is in really great condition. I hadn't driven for much more than about 10 minutes and charged it every night prior to it sitting on jack stands for a week. |

Re: Installed lift on my club cart and now it won't move
It may be as simple as one of the F1 or F2 spade connectors came loose from the controller.

Did you do as Sergio suggested and pull the controller cover off to inspect the orange and blue F1 and F2 wires?

Didn't see your post before I posted mine. Thank you guys so much for the help. I am a member of a lot of automotive forums, but this one is by far the friendliest and most helpful! So is the blue wire F2?
