Default Re: Anyone have to deal with a damaged Frame?

Honestly I probably wouldn't have caught it had it not been for the issue with the steering. While I was hunting down the issue for the steering bind, I noticed the front two bolts (the long ones that are in the middle of the two frame rails) were off center of one another. I then found the busted welds, of which the one pictures was 1 of 3. I knew the customer (who was working on the cart as a favor to a friend and brought it to me when he was simply out of ideas) wasn't going to spend the money to have me do the job so I pointed it out to him and told him what to do. He took it to do the work himself, I haven't heard yet how it went. The one with the front structure damage I did was a pain, but it worked and the cart functioned normally.

Have repaired carts that drunken golfers have jumped and run into trees several times. Hammer back into line, check, hammer, check, then when it looks good TIG weld 'er up.
