Anyone have to deal with a damaged Frame?

Hey all, I am working on totally re-doing my 1990 36 volt ds. Im sending the motor into Plumb quick and getting all new resistor coils. Heres my situation. I notices that it has been wrecked and the nose of the fame is bent. I am also seeing that most of the welds holding the dash aluminum are broken or cracked. Going to try and have it welded back. Anyone ever had to deal with a tweaked or bad frame?

I am in the final stages of renovation on one that got rammed into something, bending the front bumper in, causing a few welds to break, and stress cracks on both sides of the piece that forms the dash.

Looks like the photos were from a couple of years ago. Pretty severe damage. Did you ever get it repaired?

I actually found another cart that had no frame issues and took 2 to make one , was gona get it welded here and there or bolt some aluminum stock in places "sandwich" style , but other cart had a good frame so I junked this one...

My first build was with a seriously crashed ez go txt the front frame was twisted.. After a lot of work and time spend wihout succes.. I deccided to bring it in a collision center... If i remember good they charge me around 200-300$ the job was perfect the frame was, like new...

If you look close all the old CC have frame cracks in the same spots. Aluminum does that when it flexes too many times.

Thanks for all the photos, Mine is in the same shape, alot of broken welds. I am going to clean them all up and weld them and reinforce the braces with more 3/8" aluminum plates. Thanks again for the input.

I just had one the other day, came in with serious steering issues. Turned out that the front end had several broken welds and the front end had shifted to the passenger side by 1/2 an inch.....which caused the angle of the steering shaft to be off and made it bind really bad, essentially you couldn't turn.

Also, several months back I had a Precedent where a kid wrecked it and bent the front structure. I replaced the front structure and beat the frame back. It can be a bit of a "guess and check" procedure, but it can be saved if you're willing to invest the time.

Ya mine looks as if its the same, bent over to the passenger side as well. The Wheels looks shifted, Looks as if I am going to have to bend it back out.
