2 ga battery cables upgrad ??
I got my 2 ga battery cables. I was woundering if any of you use the felt,
( red and green ) pads they sell in auto parts store's? I have used on my Trucks. Or On our work trucks we use a Terminal sprey . This is the red sticky spray to stop corrosin. It looks like mort of the pictures on here do not have anything on the terminals . I just want to do it the best way. What is recommended ?? Thank You for your input. |

Definitely not the felt!
You do not want anything between the cable lugs and the battery post surface, metal or otherwise. You can get a piece of newspaper or cardboard and tear an appropriate size opening and use the paper as a shield for a clean spray job. I use the spray as well. |

I use the spray but I spray it into the cap and then use a small brush to apply it to the terminals. No overspray that way.

use spray
the grease is good but the heat of charging over time will melt it away |
