Default Re: Issues with OBC on 2003 Club Car IQ

I would research a little more. My last phone call with them turned into a "Your controller is bad." About 30 seconds after I said it was out of warranty. Controller has maybe 20 hours of run time on it. Mine was a throttle issue in reverse that he told me couldn't possibly be software. Had to be hardware. Wrong. I figured out I had set the throttle to progressive and after that the throttle would only go to 28% in reverse. Set it back to linear and all was well..

That would be great if that's my problem. I ran down a couple controllers that I'm gonna borrow and try. Hopefully I can get something figured out soon

If you find one that works hook it up to your computer with the Alltrax software and look at each screen to see what is different..

If it happens again buy a used charger that doesn't require a OBC. Swap the charge cables and never have another problem again. Those OBC's were a terrible idea ...or at least terribly executed by CC. Just bypassed one three weeks ago. Found a used charger on CL for $125. New OBC was more than that!

...Tools ...Toys (same thing) :)

I thought about doing that since everything else was working fine, now I really wished I had.

Ok bad just got worse! I reinstalled an oem controller making sure to connect every wire correctly. Even double checked before powering up. I connected my positive wire to the battery and flipped switch to run and heard a bad noise and smelled electrical burn. Now I have nothing! No running, charging or even a reverse buzzer. I'm about to lose it!

Wow. Not good. Feel free to call me if you'd like and we'll see if we can figure something out. My number is on the website. I'm about to head out for a bit and won't be around, but I'll have my phone.
