I've been thinking all day.. How specific does the oem Curtis controller model# have to be? I made sure it was a 48v 250amp controller but don't know if it is specific to my '03 IQ. Thoughts?

There are definitely different flavors. Which one did you buy? What's the model number?

They both should work. Your OBC is what burnt up? I was under the impression that the controller burnt up. Is there some sort of adapter harness on the OBC plug? Take some pictures of the OBC/Controller area.

Ok finally got to the bottom of everything. The green IQ adapter had shorted when I sprayed corrosionx on it. So don't do that!! Of course after talking to 2 different Alltrax technicians, they said without a doubt the controller was bad and the only option was to buy a new one. So I'm glad I had a friend who let me borrow his controllers. Even though the first controller I tried, which was bad, smoked my new obc. Luckily the dealer is going to replace it and Alltrax is sending me a new adapter. So with all this said and a new adapter and obc I'll be back in business. Also want to say a big thanks to the guys who helped me through this process. I have learned a lot.
