Smile Re: 03 DS IQ OBC bypass for DPI charger

I will try do the wiring this weekend and will report back.
I'm working in an outdoor shed and it's been raining and now the hurricane approaching
Figures no rain all summer!

Since my OBC went bad, it seems like there have been a bunch of threads about IQ's with similar problems.

I thought it would be better to have a 2015 technology in charger replace a 2003 one
Vs
Putting back in a 2003 OBC with the same old 2003 charger

Thanks to all for the good advice

For those that didn't get it. The French model crack is a reference to believing everything thing that you read on the internet from an AllState commercial..

I think.

The OBC can be removed from the cart later if You want.
Finally rain stopped took a pic
Run/tow is in tow
will disconnect neg(-) on battery 6
will cut black wire in harness running back to the OBC
the grey wire running in harness from yellow fuse - I left it alone- can it be cut when I cut and twist the Red and the Blue wires together?

You can cut the grey wire OFF and remove it since it is not used by the DPI charger.

Hooked up DPI charger and it works.
I still did not jump the Red and the Blue wires together I have to take off the rear box to get to the other side of the OBC and it started to rain again so I pushed it back in shed.
I really want one charge cycle before I do any more
Working conditions are tight.

Thanks so much for your help!
Nothing too difficult but I have no Idea what I am doing

Once this is done I'll start another thread. I have to upgrade my Moms 36 volt cart with Scotty B's upgrade package

The new DPI charger finished its first cycle
Cart drove fine
Big relief that batteries are good and all is working well!
