Default Battery light question

I am new to the forum and new to electric golf carts so advice is greatly appreciated. I have a 2006 precedent with new batteries installed this year. The battery light is now coming on when I apply the brake, it does not stay on and goes off when I accelerate. The batteries appear to be taking a charge (15 amps initially and then down to 4 or so). I did a complete round of golf after the light came on? Suggestions?

Default Re: Battery light question

thats a strange one
try a OBC reset

Resetting the Club Car On board computer - reset the OBC

To reset the OBC the following must be done in this
order:
If no Tow/Run Switch then skip that step

• Key Switch to Off
• Forward/Reverse to Neutral
• Tow/Run Switch to Tow
• Disconnect the Battery NEGATIVE (–) wire
from the Battery Minus terminal on the battery
pack.
• Put the Tow/Run to Run
• Forward/Reverse Switch to Reverse
• Key Switch to On
• Lock the throttle pedal down
The reverse buzzer will sound and go off in about 30
seconds. Leave the cart like that for 5 min to cause the
OBC to reset.
To reconnect the OBC back into the system:
• Key Switch to Off
• Forward/Reverse Switch to Neutral
• Tow/Run switch to Tow
• Reconnect the Batt – wire to the battery minus
terminal on the battery pack.

sometimes the reverse buzzer does not sound ... thats ok

also, always let charger finish it's charging cycle before unplugging

Default Re: Battery light question

Thanks, I am puzzled too as I would have thought the battery light would stay illuminated. I'll give resetting the OAC a try.
