Default Lift kit recommendation and questions for CC Precedent

These are probably stupid questions, but I've never done a lift kit on any type of vehicle so I'm looking for a starting point.

I have a 2011 Club Car Precedent electric that I would like to lift. This is strictly for looks as it's unlikely I would go anywhere that an un-lifted cart would go.

So here are the questions...
1. How much of a lift is needed (what size kit) to make a noticeable difference in appearance?

2. Do you have to change the tire size at the same time you do the lift or can the standard size tires be used with a lifted cart? Just trying to find out if I can split up the expense.

3. Are there any other modifications that I am likely to want to do in the future that will be better done when I'm doing the lift?

Thanks.

I don't know the answers to your questions about amount of lift and tire sizes but as to your other question, when you do change tire size it is also the equivalent of changing the gear ratio and you will lose some torque. How much may be negligible depending on tire size you go with and the type of terrain(hills vs flat vs dirt vs pavement). You may also gain some speed, may be negligible, maybe not, again depending on tire size and terrain. The experts will be along shortly to answer you though.

IMO - 3 is good enough for a "look". You dont need to change wheels or tires but most do. On a yami you would.
i would think of accent lighting, radio wire runs, electrical runs, hitch, winch, disc brakes, rear gear change...just what you might want to do with the cart in the future that the front and rear in place would get in the way.
if you are a street rider and want a cool look think of lowering the cart....just a thought
happy carting epb

Having owned my lifted CC for a whopping week, my sense would be to do a 4" A-arm lift with 22" tires, especially if not really planning anything off-road. I also wouldn't do any of that without a 500A controller upgrade and wire change to at least 4 ga.

My cart has, I think, a 4" lift and 23s, and they rub. I have a controller upgrade and 4ga wires and I can do 25mph with two in the cart and still have decent toque.

most lifts need a 10" rim or bigger
for looks i would go with the jakes 6" lift and 22" tires , 400+ controller, 200/800amp solenoid and 4g wires

We highly recommend 22" x 11" x 10" tires and 10" x 8" wheels (with 3", 5" Negative Offset) or 10" x 7" (with 3", 4" Negative Offset) for ultimate and secure balance, as well as fit
.

I've been shopping around for 22s. The problem I've found with 10" rims is a limited selection that aren't either steel or chrome. I'd like to find a set of black aluminum.

What about 8 inch wheels with 22-23 inch tires, makes them look a lot bigger than they are, plus makes for smoother ride.

8" rims can not be used

you can go as big as you want on rim size it is the off set and 23" max tire you need to be aware of

The tires are street (or golf course style?) but are barely worn. It's not that I am opposed to changing tires but if I can delay some of the cost and do the lift first, since I don't actually need tires, that would be ideal. If lift and tires have to be done in tandem, then I will plan for that expense.
Rob_S, what's the purpose of the controller and wire upgrade?
