newbie starting ds elec project
Hi everyone I am nick i have a 1988 cc ds elec cart i am starting i bought it from a friend with brand new batteries and charger for 400 dollars for the whole cart. BUT it is in pieces lol (before) i got it. I dont want to spend a ton a ton of money and me and my brother are more than your avg fabricators. My question is it ok to do a 9 or 10 inch z lift ? What are the pros and the cons? He has a 98 ez go elec we built a whole new front axle i belive its a 8 in i will check its been a while. i just want them to be comprable, cant have my brother out doing me! Does any one have a step buy step or any info on the kit. And i am kind of going a different route as far as the rims and tires go, i am going to run 12x6 and the tire are agricultural 23 or 24 in obviously i am going to need spacers any clue how far out? Or i will just have to see once the lift is done and mock it up. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: newbie starting ds elec project
In my opinion 8 or 10 inch lifts are just for looks and actually diminish a carts off road ability....I can get 22s under a 3" lift and I can get 23s under a 6 inch lift without raising the center of gravity 2 or 4 more inches. Absolutely no addition ground clearance is gained....So , it is just for looks but it is possibly more unstable.

Is there diff rear ends and elect components in these like options on a car? and what do you want to look for as far as better equiptment? It s weird it has 4 solenoids and a big coil thing resistor? there is also a box with red caps at each end what is that? I can send phone pics but camera is at work.
