I am not talking about the gas pedal, the cart should actively tried to prevent it from moving while you were pushing it by hand.

My girls and I pushed the cart and the resistance was there but it did not totally stop the cart. We then put it in tow and there was no resistance. So I don't know if it was just drag from the motor or the brakes. Now that I'm thinking about it the braking would come from the motor right.

I'm sorry for confusing you guys. pushing the gas pedal was only in reference to bypassing the pin with the paper clip.

The good news is that the controller can power the Motor Field as well as short the Armature driver in order to engage the walk away brake.

Unfortunately the next thing to test is if the solenoid is bad or not getting the activation voltage.

I am attaching a picture of where the solenoid is located (#5 on the second image).

You need to remove the Electronics Module Cover to get to it.

You need to measure the voltage on the solenoid small tabs when the pedal is pressed to see if it is getting activation voltage.

Take your time to see where everything is located and don't wear any rings or watches when around the controller or solenoid.

If You don't feel comfortable doing it that way, You can also remove the center batteries, take the torx screw #11 (second picture) off and tilt the entire module towards the battery bucket.

You will be able to test the solenoid coil for resistance and see if it is good, but you won't be able to perform any voltage tests.

I put my volt meter on the solenoid and I had 50 volts on the big posts and nothing on either small post. With the gas pressed or not.

This may be a good sign!

I forgot to mention something in the MCOR 2-pin jumper test since it is seldom a problem, but I will try to remember to always say it:
After placing the large paper clip jumping the connector on the harness side, turn the Key switch ON and make sure you get +48v at the jumper.
Your problem may just be the key switch.

Put the cart on Tow and remove the dashboard where the key switch is mounted, 2 large torx screws on the front and 1 small torx screw on the top.

Make sure the Blue wire did not come disconnected from the key switch.

The Green wire should have power at all times and the Blue wire has power only after you turn the key switch ON.

Make sure the cart is in Tow any time you are removing or installing the dashboard as the back of the key switch can short against the frame assembly.

Alright I'm back home. I've been waiting all week to try what you said..... I pulled the plug from the MCOR and put a paper clip in the plug creating the jumper on the harness end, not the MCOR under the pedals. Once I did that I turned on the key and checked my voltmeter on the batteries an they were 50.2 volts. Next I checked the jumper and there was 0 then I pushed the gas and again 0 volts. Next I will check the ignition switch.

I haven't touched the cart in about 6weeks, so I had to start over. one thing is new I put the plug back in for the pedal and turned the key to on and pushed the gas pedal and now I'm getting a click from the solenoid or around that area. Before I was not getting a click or any indication anything was working.
