Default Fair value of 2000 DS 48V? Advice on DS search

Hi, new to this forum and looking for some advice. In search of first time street legal cart, and have a preference for the DS model. Will ultimately have 4 seats, lift, 12" wheels, long roof, and a custom paint job.

1. Found a local 2000, 48V,lights, seat belts, 2 seater in fair condition but with "new" set of US Batteries. Advice on a fair value to good deal?

2. Advice on a certain DS model year?

My budget is $4k

TIA!

Not knowing where you are but around me and what the definition of "Fair" is , if it is not lifted and stock wheels 1200 - 1500 maybe more if the paint is pretty much scratch free.

Down here in Florida, that's about $2000-$2500. Of course I might just be a sucker, but I have been told by a few people that carts are more expensive here.
