Alltrax Turbo feature explained
Alltrax Turbo featureSome of you may have seen or heard that within Alltrax's Controller Pro software there is a feature called "Turbo". I'll do my best to explain how this works although it's pretty much straight out of the manual. This feature only works on DCX model controllers. AXE controllers do not use this feature. The DCX controller will only go into and stay in turbo mode when these two conditions are met. 1. You are at 100% throttle for at least 1 second. 2. The controller is not at current limit. Current limit means the maximum amount of power the controller can output. If these 2 conditions are met the controller will adjust the feild map to allow more speed. This is the reason you see speed gains by simply doing a controller swap on SEPEX type systems. (using an Alltrax controller) |

Re: Alltrax Turbo feature explained
Great explanation roady.
I have a 600dcx controller installed on a clear case under the motor cover and I can see the 3 color led on the controller. It is fun to see the led going YELLOW when the turbo is activated... by the way I do wheelies with this cart, it has an Advanced DC motor commercialized as xp2140 on 48v system with a Tyco sealed solenoid (500amp/2000amp peak). |
