Default Stealth 4x4 48 to 64 volt conversion (Modified Club Car)

Just bought a new to me 2009 Stealth Apache XR model. Literature says it has a 65 volt 800 amp controller on it. I imagine it'll need batteries soon, and I was wondering what other than batteries, charger, and cables would be necessary if I do 8 x 8 volts rather than 8 x 6 volts when I replace them. I know the newer model of these was 64 volts, and I think (that's trouble ) it's the same controller in both carts. I just want to make sure I don't fry anything by doing this when the time comes.

Thanks!

It has 8 six volt batteries in it now, but a 65 volt controller. The 2009 model was 48 volts from the factory. In 2011 (I believe) they upgraded to 64 volts. Just making sure I won't fry my machine if I replace my 6 volts with 8 volts.

You'll have to change the way the solenoid control circuit negative wire is routed. Right now it's routed to main B-. You'll need to route it to battery number 6 negative to keep the solenoid coils happy at 48V.
