Default 6" Lift, 23" Tires on 1994 DS 36Volt - Now Slower

Just upgraded a stock 1994 Club Car DS (36 Volt) with a 6" A-arm lift, with 23" Tires. The cart now drives noticeably slower. We are charging the cart to make sure it's not the battery pack. If that doesn't correct the issue, what next? I'm certain the cart has a Series motor, stock f/r switch, v-glide seems operable, etc.. I've seen other posts on issues such as this, but many of them don't have a resolution.

Does this cart have the resistor coils or a solid state controller? The stock drive system really isn't made for the added load the lift kit puts on it, you should consider upgrading.

So I should consider upgrading the controller alone, or both controller and motor? cha-ching!

Many people leave the 36v motor alone, and on 48v they produce more speed and torque with no ill effects...

you can also upgrade the resistor cart to a more powerful 36v controller cart
