Default 2001 club car DS 48V solenoid locations

I am helping a friend rebuild an old cart. The wiring seems to match the 48 volt cart that uses 2 solenoid so, one which has a wire wound resistor. Can someone tell me where that solenoid is located?

This cart has the white wire from the motor terminal A2 going directly to the controller and I don't see the other solenoid. Where would it be in relation to the OBC?

This cart has the white A2 wire routed directly to the controller. MR Golf stated the second solenoid is behind the driver, all I see there is the OBC.

some one rewired it
the solenoid with the restorer coil is the 1/2 speed reverse

Someone by-passed the solenoid, not a big deal but you need to make sure the speed sensor stays disconnected in this case.

When the cart is not using Regenerative brake, that solenoid opens and places the resistor coil in the middle of a "shorted" armature coil to create the "Dynamic brake" effect.

If that were to happen without that resistor coil, not only you could damage the controller due to the heat created by the excessive current that would be generated, but the intensity of the brake action would be quite strong possibly causing harm to you or the cart.

Disconnecting the speed sensor will prevent the cart from using either 'Regen brake' or 'Dynamic brake'.

One thing to look at. If the motor has been changed to a newer style with newer speed sensor the high speed magnet would likely allow the speed sensor to work for roll away braking. I did modifie the magnet on my regen 2 and was able to keep the roll away braking, with the solenoid removed. The white battery goes direct from controller to the motor.
